- Unique Acceptance Procedure : The Unique Acceptance Procedure (UAP) is a procedure which may be applied to any type of document, whatever its origin, in order to achieve rapid approval of a European Standard (EN).

This procedure should only apply if it is reasonable to suppose that the document is acceptable at European level. The UAP does not allow technical comments. The duration of a UAP is six months.

For a reference document, the UAP combines the questionnaire procedure and the formal vote.

For a Technical Committee (TC) document, the UAP combines the CEN enquiry and the formal vote.
